September Fun (part 2)

Still playing catch up so that I can start on the new stuff! Here is what else happened in September.

Arizona Kids Fair / Barney Show:

The girls LOVE Barney. He was at the Kids fair so we went and they had so much fun!! They also got to go in a small petting zoo, milk a fake cow, and got their nails painted. It was a great Mommy and Mikayla day. Declan and Daddy stayed home and watched football all day. Mikayla and Autumn having chats on the drive to the Fair:

So my poor son has the same crazy hair his sister did. On the top it was super long and sort of looked like a toupee. Then he had a huge bald spot in the middle of the back and a mullet under that. Now that he was more sturdy we decided to take him in to have his hair cut so that it would be even. He did GREAT. He sat in the chair and just chewed his finger and his apron the whole time. He did not even seem to notice what was going on. Mikayla also got her bangs trimmed and did very well too! After seeing her Barney pictures from the day before I realized that they were a mess!

Mikayla LOVES doing art. She loves to paint, glue, color, etc. Her favorite so far is painting because she loves to get herself messy! One of her friends did a project at Gymboree where they got their bodies traced on paper and then they painted it. After seeing it I had to try it with Mikayla. She had so much fun and made an awesome mess. I love watching her do art projects because she gets SO into them. I now have her picture hanging and get happy every time I walk past it. For anyone worried about her being on the counter she was safe...Mommy and Daddy were always at arms length!

The next one makes me laugh. She had not painted the legs and feet on the drawing yet. I told her to paint the feet so she picked up her foot and painted it! Little Monkey!!


Yay! September is done! I will do the first bit of October tomorrow and then we are all caught up! =-)

Hey! Who called me Spam???

Yay! I am back! Somehow my blog was reported as spam and has been locked the last three days pending a review. I had started a few postings and will post them tonight after the babies go to bed. I still have to add pictures and videos to them.

My exciting news for the day is... My Christmas/Next Birthday present came today! What is it you ask?? Well it is a brand new shiny pink laptop of my very own! It is charging right now so that when Ken gets home from work he can help me set it up. I am so excited! I will of course add a picture of it later.

September Fun (part 1)

My kids are sleeping and I do not want to clean the house so I decided to make my page look a little less lonely. =-)

Here are some fun things that went on in September:

Fisher-Price Playdate Houseparty

Mikayla and Declan threw a Fisher-Price playdate houseparty. Basically they got about $250 dollars worth of free toys in exchange for having some of their friends over to play. Everyone had fun with the toys and we also made it into a BBQ/Swim party.

Mikayla swimming on her own (kind of):

Mikayla LOVES to swim. She was getting really mad at us because she wanted to swim on her own and we would not let her go. Ken had the great idea to combine her floating swimsuit (which made her tip forward when she wore it alone) and her water wings (which did not hold her up enough) together. Combined they work perfectly and she can swim around the pool without any help! She loves it so much and now asks to go swimming several times a day. Too bad the pool is cooling down and we only have a few swimming weeks left!

I have been trying to get this post ready for for three days and never have much time. I guess I will put more of the Sept pics and adventures up another day.

Welcome to our new blog!

Well...I have been meaning to start a blog for months so I finally did it. Our friends and families are all so spread out and it is sometimes very difficult to keep in touch and keep everyone updated. I hope this blog helps everyone feel more involved and included in our lives even with the distance between us.

As everyone knows we are moving to China next spring for about 2 years. As we gear up for our move I am sure we will have many entertaining stories to share with everyone. I also look forward to posting stories and pictures of our lives in Dalian, China since I know that not everyone will be able to make the trip to visit us while we are there.

I also wanted to remind everyone that Declan, Mikayla and I will be in California from October 29th until December 2nd. Ken will be meeting me in California so that we can take our China Preview Trip from the 8th - 16th (I'm not positive on the dates). I would love to see all my Bay Area friends and family while I am there so call me and let's plan something!
